I embarked on a journey to explore the question, "What is the future of our sailing app?" with the primary goal of prioritising the user. This meant delving deep into understanding the needs, challenges, constraints, limitations, and desires of our sailors.
Did we carry out both qualitative and quantitative research? Absolutely. The purpose? Our qualitative research aimed to engage in one-on-one conversations with our typical users to discern any recurring patterns and themes. We sought to grasp what matters most to our sailors, what they enjoy, what they dislike, and how they vary from one another. From this data, we formed hypotheses.
Our quantitative research sought to provide further insight into the sailors' needs, challenges, and desires. We surveyed 650 sailors with a set of questions specifically designed for them.
This quantitative data allowed us to test and compare our hypotheses against our qualitative findings, aiding us in drawing conclusive insights. Furthermore, we conducted an additional profiling survey to define our user persona.

My approach involves conducting video interviews with real users, specifically sailors, enabling me to concentrate fully on the user perspective and collect as many valuable insights as possible. This process helps in grasping the users' challenges, frustrations, desires, needs, and current trends, among other aspects.
Following each interview, I review the recordings and create an affinity chart using MIRO. This allows me to organize all my notes in a manner that facilitates the emergence and identification of patterns, at which point hypotheses are developed.

::::: Conclusion :::::
A simple and easy to use application which provides an all-in-one solution giving our sailors access and full visibility to everything they need.
The app will allow users to monitor, evaluate and manage all relevant boat and sailing data which will fetch and synchronize with the Neon ecosystem.
We aim to achieve a consistent look and feel whilst offering a tailored user experience depending on the users device (i.e. mobile app, tablet, product, smart watch, web etc) .
We will enrich and improve our current application with enhancements to best suit the ‘sailing experience’.
We will focus on maximising the ‘sailing experience’ by allowing product to leverage the app at the same time as using mobile app capabilities to leverage product.
Using the outcomes we concluded with some high-level *concepts* (concept only) which we can then further explore, test and iterate.
